Costume Technichian
About the position
We are looking for a person for a position of varying extent during the period of June-August. The position is a project position during the Confidencen Opera & Music Festival 2023. The festival includes a larger opera set that rehearses 26 June – 27 July and then plays during basically the whole of August, as well as several smaller concerts that take place during the first weeks of August.
Job description
It is important to be self-motivated and that you are good at planning and completing work. It is a great advantage if you have sewing skills as alterations and repairs need to be made when necessary. During the rehearsal period, you will work closely with the costume designer and prepare the costumes for the performance. This involves a lot of sewing. During the performance period, you are responsible for the costume, washing and preparing for the performances.
About you
We are primarily looking for someone who has experience and/or training as a costume technician and who would like to work in a historic theatre. You have a habit of working on set and are aware that some rehearsals can be a lot of waiting time as you still need to keep up and be at hand. We would like to see that you are thorough, responsible and enjoy working hard.
If you have a portfolio or documentation of previous work, it’s a plus.

Stage Technichian

The festival includes, on the one hand, a larger opera set that rehearses 26 June – 27 July and then plays during basically the whole of August, and on the other hand a number of smaller concerts that take place during the first weeks of August.
Job description
The work consists of rigging and preparation before the performance, running stage technology on musical cue during the performance, setting up after the performance, as well as attending rehearsals and helping to resolve what needs to be resolved during the performance. The Confidencen is a historical theater with a classic perspective stage and the stage technique consists of blocks, pulleys and buttons and is therefore sometimes quite physically demanding
About you
We are primarily looking for someone who has experience and/or training as a stage technician and who would like to work in a historic theatre. You have a habit of performing and are aware that some rehearsals can be a lot of waiting time as you still need to keep up and be at hand. We would like to see that you are meticulous, take responsibility and enjoy to make that extra effort. Musicality and being able to read sheet music are merited but not a requirement, as is experience of security work on stage and work in a historical environment.
