The Confidencen Opera & Music Festival highlights ten years of discoveries in the female operatic repertoire by Den Andra Operan. In this anniversary concert, star soloists Ann Hallenberg, Kristina Hammarström and Martin Vanberg perform arias from works by female composers. Several of the pieces have been revived and introduced to audiences through Den Andra Operan’s productions and concerts over the years. In arias by, among others, Maria Antonia Walpurgis, Wilhelmine von Bayreuth and Maria Teresa Agnesi Pinottini, queens, matriarchs, amazons and heroines are brought back to life. The evening’s host is Den Andra Operan’s artistic director, Bente Rolandsdotter, who guides the audience through ten years of surprising and exciting archival discoveries and 300 years of captivating drama and new perspectives. Here, audiences encounter virtuosic and expressive operatic works that are far too rarely given a place on today’s opera stages.
Confidencen Opera & Music Festival 2026 – Female Edition is a co‑production between Confidencen and Den Andra Operan. Den Andra Operan receives support from the Swedish Arts Council, Signatur Foundation Sweden, Region Stockholm, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee, and the Swedish Academy.
