Advent Concert
A Baroque Advent Celebration
Confidencen Opera & Music Festival Orchestra, under the direction of Peter Spissky
Welcome to our yearly Advent Concert with Baroque Favourites and a Sneak Preview of the ninth edition of the Confidencen Opera & Music Festival 2027. The concert concludes with the arrival of Lucia herself, her crown of lights aglow, accompanied by a choir of singing maidens.
Welcome to an enchanting afternoon at Confidencen, where the musical treasures of Christmas meet the anticipation of next summer’s festival. Led by Peter Spissky, the Confidencen Opera & Music Festival Orchestra performs some of the Baroque era’s most beloved masterpieces, including Corelli’s Christmas Concerto, Vivaldi’s Winter from The Four Seasons, and Pachelbel’s Canon.
As an extra festive treat, audiences will enjoy exclusive previews of the Confidencen Opera & Music Festival 2027, the festival’s ninth edition. Together with a mystery guest vocalist, the orchestra offers a first glimpse of next summer’s programme and musical highlights.
And of course, the evening culminates in the enchanting tradition of Lucia, accompanied by a choir. ✨
Before the concert, mulled wine (glögg) will be served in the atmospheric Confidencen Room, inviting you to mingle and savour the flavours of the season and the unique ambience of Sweden’s oldest rococo theatre.
An afternoon filled with music, festive cheer, and the promise of another unforgettable festival summer.
